A couple of days ago, I stumbled across the Wonderland Clojure Katas, by @gigasquid. It's a wonderful project, with 7 independent coding exercises, inspired by Lewis Carrol's "Alice in Wonderland". I love that type of stuff, and saw that @byronsamaripa had already made a Scala port, so I figured, why not port it to F#? As it happens, I had to travel to Seattle this week; this gave me enough idle airplane time to put together a first version here. I also had a chance to chat with  @tomaspetricek and @reed[...]

F# has always excelled at accessing heterogeneous data sources in server-side code through its unique type provider feature: a metaprogramming technique that enables generating (or "providing") domain-specific code to be consumed during compilation, such as generating typed schemas for relational databases, CSV and other data files, or bindings for web services and integration with other languages such as R. [ The opinions here are entirely my own etc etc. ] Dear World, With regard to this InfoQ article…  I’ve said this a few times before, but please use the terminology “Visual F#” or “The Visual F# Tools” when talking about F# at Microsoft. And somehow make sure people reporting on an event do the same :)  F# as a language is fully independent, cross-platform, open source and multi-vendor (multiple packagings based on the same shared open implementation): it’s existence as a language and ecosystem does not fu[...]
