A complete switch would break existing WebSharper applications and would require a significant refactoring in those, so we abandoned the idea of swapping WebSharper.Html.Client/Server for UI.Next in a single step. Instead, you can expect a series of improvements to the current UI.Next as a library and soon as a separate offering.

We will revisit UI.Next soon, for example we have plans for expanding the HTML type-provider to allow defining and embedding UI.Next Vars in markup.
But currently we plan to keep UI.Next as a separate library, an alternative to WebSharper.Html.Client.
