Hi,

your question is very general. I guess it's rather pointless to fire some random code-snippet at you. Just look into some real F#-code or snippets ([link:fssnip.net] might be a good starting piont) and you will find both.

Hi,

To be a bit more specific, how can a pipe (which is an unbounded buffer and into which elements can be pushed) be realized in functional programming (F#) ?

Which types/constructs of F# should I look into?

Thank You

Hi,

I like the approach with MailboxProcessors - a good article can be found for example here: [link:blogs.msdn.com]

You can put a lot more thought in the hole story and I really like the (not completed) series here: [link:moiraesoftware.com]
