Of the thousands of bugs/suggestions/work-items we are tracking against all of F#, I would not be surprised if a good fraction (e.g. more than 10%) are just about intellisense/editor issues. The completion lists are not as good as C# yet, and the typechecking performance could be improved too. I expect this will be an area we will focus on in the next release of Visual Studio.

Oh my,

I was somewhat hoping for a SericePack with some F#-love .... the next VS will be released when .... oh my

OT but still interesting:

There are some nasty bugs in the editor not only in F# - will some of them see SP treatment or will we have to wait for the next VS too?

(For example after some hours the tabs don't eat Copy/Paste commands anymore, or the performance drops, etc.)

Regards,

Carsten

Please report your 'favorite' bugs to Microsoft Connect or to fsbugs; the bugs we hear the most from customers about are the ones most likely to get some service-pack love. Prioritization based on feedback is key!

(F# is likely to have some service pack fixes, but unlikely to have service pack 'features'.)
