Problem running with Mono on Ubuntu 10.04

Hello All,

I had F# running on Mono a week or two ago, using Robert's directions. [link:strangelights.com]

A couple of days ago I did a complete wipe of my system and upgraded to Ubuntu to 10.04. Following the directions, I was able to get fsi.exe running again, but it seems to lock up after I enter a command. Once I enter ";;", I can see the cli process running for a bit, and then nothing.

I tried playing with the readline[-/+] setting, because it messed with running F# from inside of emacs, but that didn't help. I also tried running from inside an emacs shell, a plain shell (ZSH) running in GNU Screen, and a shell at a terminal. All act the same.

Running a .fsx file with --use:file.fsx --exec works, but --use:file.fsx without the --exec does not.

None of my searches have turned up an idea of what could be going on. Any ideas on what I should look into?

Hello again,

After reading this thread on stackoverflow, I got fsi.exe running from an xterm. Then I found that if I ran emacs from the xterm (either windowed or not), everything was fine.

So, I realized that I did not try hard enough.
