Hi,

I had some similar problems with TFS2010 (the noob installation wizard thing) and F#.

After skimming through the error reports I got a workaround by installing the F# 2.0 runtime on the TFS-build server and by coping some of the msbuild files from various places on my development pc to the server (thankfully the errors indicated the missing files and where it expected them - so it was a simple "search, copy 'n paste").

Don't know if this is any help but hoping for.

It sounds like maybe the server only has .NET 4.0 Client (or some profile other than 'full') installed maybe?

That said, you will run into issues compiling F#, since the F# compiler is not part of the .NET Framework. I'll try to follow up with another response on that shortly.

The full profile is installed, BUT for web deployment nonsense I had to hack some of the Program Files\MSBUILD stuff over.

No rush on the response, I realize that you guys are currently [probably] packaging up the compiler and its source.
