Following some samples from Harrop, Syme, and a few places on the web, I've been creating a datasink out of an Excel application that will accept streams of data I spew at it. On my development platform (Vista VS2008 Express, F# 1.9.6? CTP) , I have absolutely no problem yanking an instance of Excel, and populating a range.value2 <- somearray[,] The problem I'm having, is transitioning to another computer to see if I can deploy the binaries. I tracked down all the references to the 3 Interop dlls, included them as local copies when building, and set --standalone in the compiler options.

When I run my apparently flawless program on a standard Vista machine, I get excel to open up, then it seemingly hangs, my console dies, and the application lets me close it (then tells me it's not responding). I threw in some console.writelines to trace the error, and it seems to happen at

Has this happened to anyone else? I am tempted to experiment on more machines just to see if I have some wierd settings on my test platform (security policies are out of my control). I compiled to x86 too for compatibility sake. Most maddeningly, I get NO errors or exceptions....the console just vanishes and leaves Excel open. Also, the machines are both configured with the same set of software, with regard to Office versions, OS versions.

I really appreciate any help the community can provide. I spent about 3 months going through F# literature and blogs, and this is my first foray into it. So far, F# has exceeded all of my expectations, it's just the fickle nature of Interop that has me in a twist at the moment.
