Bistro MVC is an MVC toolkit written in C# and F#. They might welcome a contribution (or they might not - I don't know, have no dealings with them).

If there isn't a suitable coding project, you might be able to work a thesis around testing or documentation.

Good luck with it!!! :)

we would most certainly welcome a contribution :)

just to clarify, though - bistro itself is written in c#, but also has an extension library that lets you use f# functions directly as controllers.

you can talk about the use of functional programming languages in the traditionally imperative environment of the web, and the striking alignment of the statelessness of http and the concepts of 'no side-effects' promoted by functional programming...

or something like that :)

Hi Kolosy. Yes, when I looked at Bistro MVC a couple of months ago, I was struck by the elegance of the F# extensions, and the natural fit with HTTP :)

Whatever topic you choose, make certain that the title of your thesis includes the word "monad."
