Immediate Window - sprintf - New Line character

Hi,

I use

let prin a = sprintf "%A" a

to display values in an immediate window of VS2008. The problem is that it displays new line characters as \n, not as real new lines.

for example I get this:

"matrix [[0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0;\n 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0]\n [0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.0; 0.9916666667; 1.0;\n 1.0; 1.0; 1.0; 1.0; 1.0; 1.0; 1.0;

...

Which is not readable at all. Is there any way how to transform \n into a real new line?

sprintf returns a string, have you tried usning printf instead (which prints it to your output channel) ?
Have you tried using printf "%s" (sprintf '%A" yourMatrix) ?
