What is the current status of support for the dynamic keyword in F#?

In that thread, the last question in an interview with Don Syme from last year ([link:www.infoq.com] is mentioned.

Here is text from the transcript of that interview:

Question: We know on the C# 4.0 there will be some dynamic features and dynamic type. Are you considering adding these things to F#?

Answer: Yes, we've been having interesting discussions about that. We got some good ideas, not knowing exactly when we are going to action them. We actually have a design, which is very simple - you can explain it in a very straightforward way, which I think appropriate, like the design we have feels appropriate for F#. We don't have an implementation of it yet, I think the design looks about right. We have to resolve dynamic dispatches and runtime; we have to choose a default behavior of resolving dynamic words to look up and identify and the DLR has some default semantics for this.

The question is how much we have to vary that story for F# and what would the dynamic binder look like for F#. It's something where you look at adding; there are a couple of use cases where dynamic language features are quite compelling. In the dynamic languages there are many, there may be only a couple that I have on the top of my head when thinking about that feature, but we have to think about all the other work we want changes and additions - additions mostly that are made to F# - and we have to have a full plan for that in the version 1.0 and looking ahead to version 2.0 of the language as well. We'll see what comes.
