to the class declaration, since the class is abstract.

Example given in book is:-

default x.WriteString(s) = s |> String.iter x.WriteChar
The above won't compile giving the error message 'no implementation given for abstract member WriteChar, where WriteChar is used in the default method.
However the point the example is making in the book is that this *should* compile so long as WriteChar is implemented later, e.g. by an object expression etc.
Can anyone else get this to compile? I'm using VS2010...
