1.9.6.2 is an older release. You want to uninstall that and install the newer one.

I did (attempt) to make sure I really had the May 2009 CTP installed by trying to run the installer again. It told me the package was already installed. Apparently, I had the old 2008 CTP installed when I installed the May 2009 CTP (I don't remember installing F# after re-imaging my machine earlier this year). Also apparently, the installer doesn't "upgrade" the F# compiler. I uninstalled the old and installed the new, and all is good.
Thanks for setting me straight.
(And kudos to those of you who are involved with the F# project. Really good stuff, and I'm enjoying learning it).

Sorry if I'm being an idiot, but I'm a Newbie to F#. I was interested in looking at the Solar System Simulation from the F# Samples, so I downloaded them. I open the Solar System Project and immediately notice compiler errors.
1) There is no #light as the first line. I thought this was now the deafult, so don't know why the complaint. But I add it anyway, easy enough.
2) There is a reference to Async.Start. "Start" gives the "The field, constructor, or member Start is not defined." I take a guess and replace "Start" with "Spawn" and it seems to work OK.
The F# compiler is v1.9.6.2 and appears to be targeting .NET 2.0. I figured I had a mismatch of pre-release software, but I can't figure it out.
