About six months ago (maybe more), I decided to give AnkhSVN a spin and found it too unstable to use (updates not being committed/sync'ed etc). Had to switch back to tortoisesvn to fix stuff. This was with C# only solutions. Things may have changed, but I switched to mercurial using the commandline, and have been happy with that. For Svn when I need it, I just use tortoisesvn. So yes, I've seen weird things with Ankh, don't think it's related to F# specifically, frankly.

Kurt,
Thanks - just a note. We have had some odd behaviors with Ankh, but to their credit it has gotten a lot better. We don't seem to have many problems with it anymore (do have to edit the fsproj files every once in a while when we add a file that is an embedded resource).

You might want to give it another shot. I find having VS keep things up to date is a pretty significant gain over manually doing it with the CLI or Tortosie.
