fslex/fsyacc use TAB's in generated code

Hi.

I recently upgraded to the May 09 CTP and was no longer able to compile my project. Upon investigation I found that fslex/fsyacc is generating code files which include TAB characters and this is now treated as an error at compile time.

As a workaround I currently remove these TAB's in a pre-build step which works fine but I would rather not mess with generated code. So I would like to know if anybody else is having this problem? Am I doing something else wrong?

Current workaround:

Under Project Properties - Build Events - Pre-build event command line

fslex "$(ProjectDir)MyLexer.fsl"
fsyacc "$(ProjectDir)MyParser.fsy"
RemoveTabs "$(ProjectDir)MyLexer.fs" "$(ProjectDir)MyParser.fs"

and the following code for RemoveTabs:

Do you have TABs in the fslex and fsyacc input files (.fsl and .fsy)? The tools copy through the action text to the output (.fs) files.

You are right. Tabs in the original .fsl and .fsy were the problem. Thanks

I had only changed the text editor settings for F# code files to replace tabs with inserted spaces so a general text file like the .fsl and .fsy files kept the default settings.

Perhaps a future version of fslex/fsyacc could replace tabs with spaces during the copying phase so that others don't make the same mistake I did.
