I've already requested this from the FSharp team and was told that custom tools were not supported as there was no FSharp CodeDOM, which most tools require. T4, however, is an exception.
I believe that, particularly until CodeDOM is supported, T4 could be an invaluable stop-gap, allowing well integrated code generation to fill this gap. As I understand it supporting T4 should be fairly straight-forward.
I hope very much the FSharp team evaluate whether it is a low-cost win as it could be invaluable.

Hi,I don't know whether this falls under the whole "no designer support in v1" thing, but is it possible to get the T4 text templating engine to run in F# projects?I got as far as adding a .tt file to a project, set the TextTemplatingFileGenerator as custom tool, and the "Run Custom Tool" option shows up on the file, but it doesn't do anything.
