This is because System.Threading.SynchronizationContext is not implemented on the .NET Compact Framework that the XBox 360 uses.

All the functions in the F# Async library that I've tested so far seem to rely on SynchronizationContext, which I assume would make them unusable on the XBox, Zune, and Windows Mobile devices.
