"File-order matters" is a by-design feature of the language.

Lack of folder support in the Visual Studio IDE is merely due to lack of resources to get this feature implemented with quality yet; we hope to eventually support this. In the meantime, you can include files from any directory using the 'add as link' functionality:

"File-order matters" is a by-design feature of the language.

I understand the need for the ordering of the type definitions from the standpoint of the language, but can ordering the files be made a responsibilty of the IDE? It looks like a trivial task of ordering a dirgraph.

I am working on an interpreter for a django-like templating language and manually shuffling around files tests the limits of my patience. with a bigger number of files involved it can become a real issue

For clarification, the last file listed is the "main" file. Also, Alt-Up/DownArrow is the shortcut to quickly move files up and down the list.
