I think it's a bug in the pretty printer, you're right to say null is different to "None" but null is used to represent None internally.

I ran across a strange issue while playing around with FSI. Consider the following FSI session:
> type dummy = Dummy of int*int;;
type dummy = | Dummy of int * int
> type doption = dummy option;;
type doption = dummy option
> let (x:doption) = None;;
val x : doption
> x;;
val it : doption = None
> let (y:doption*doption) = (None,None);;
val y : doption * doption
> y;;
val it : doption * doption = (null, null)
Everything is fine until the very end. As soon as I use an option in a tuple it tells me that the value is null, when it should say None. Is this simply a bug in the display, or is something else going on? I know that None options are supposed to appear as null in other .NET languages, but I think also that F# null is different in some ways than a standard .NET null?
