Hi JDK,
What I often do when I'm confused about the type errors that I get is to put manual type annotations of the function arguments and return value. This often makes refactoring quite a bit more straight forward.

Hi,
I propose that the F# compiler and intellisense explain why a value has been restricted as it has. I'm trying to make generic functions to work with various numeric types, passing in an INumeric<_> as in Expert F# near page 110, but despite those efforts, my development is being held up by these pesky value restrictions.
If the compiler and IDE would give me a clue as to what particular part of the function is restricting the type, then that would help me.
If I'm going about this wrong and there's already an easier way, I'd like to know it. Thanks!
