Hi Kemiisto,

Welcome to the forum! You're english is perfectly understandable.

I've not seen this error message, but I'm wondering if it is because you've not uninstalled version 1.9.2.9?

Cheers,
Rob

Hi Robert,

Thanks for your valuation for my knowing english. On business: it's not possible to install new version of F# while previous version isn't uninstalled.

Cheers,

F# 1.9.3.14 msi should be 19,782,144 bytes with md5sum 58f5d792b523a2d6b97e66d5e535fdb4. Does your msi differ?

Does the path "C:\Windows\Installer\e0c06.msi" occur under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\

maybe as a LocalPackage of a Product, if so which one?

Hi Kemiisto,

Yes, it's quite possible that your download was corrupt. I've just setup a machine with the following configuration and I did not have any problem installing F#.

My configuration:

- XP Professional SP3 Russian (a very recent one)

- VS2008 English

- Installed F# 1.9.3.14

Please, let us know how things go when you try to download it again. Also, if the problem persiste with the new download let us know your exact configuration.

Hi everybody,

I've downloaded F# 1.9.3.14 once again and this time I have no problems. But, there are weird things. When I download installer it have MD5: 58f5d792b523a2d6b97e66d5e535fdb4. It's good news according to jamarg. But when I copy or remove it on some flash drive installer's MD5 changes to 760DB8EF9658FAB743D8CB615A343D6F! I'm shocked! It's nice that installer is still working even with new MD5 sum! It sounds like nonsense!

The installer is digitally signed. It can be verified using ChkTrust (IE should do this prior to running the file).

[link:msdn2.microsoft.com]

Manually:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v1.1\Bin\ChkTrust.exe" InstallFSharp-1.9.3.14.msi

Regarding the copied msi. It has a different md5sum. It is a different file. Do not use it.
