It might work to use
Microsoft.FSharp.Text.StructuredFormat.Display.any_to_string(someLocalVar)
in the "Immediate" window as a quick way to get a "pretty" view of an F# object.
(I have also been trying to create a DebuggerVisualizer in F#, but haven't had success yet, due to some current limitations with attributes in F#.)

Dear all,
I was wondering if it possible to modiy the variable view when debugging a F# function step-by-step to show the local variables in the same formatting that "print_any" uses when doing a "manual" debug in the interpreter.
For example if I have a Collections.Map, then the variable explorer shows the internal structure (the binary tree of the map) but normally, this is not interesting to the developer, it's the contents that matter. And the contents are pretty tedious to lookup using this view.
