This is just a guess as I haven't used vista 64 bit much but here goes:
Are you running the 64 bit version of Visaul Studio (I'm not complete sure there is such a thing), or is it the 32 bit version installed in compatibility mode? If it's stored in compatibility mode the install has probably been placed under a directory "C:\program files (x86)" (or something like that) and I would guess this is the root of the problem.
I believe the latest version of F# comes with a batch file "alternative-install-vs2008.bat" you probably want to edit the path to "devenv.com" and then rerun that, this such register all the addins.

There wasn't a VS2008 one, but I created it from the 2005 one. It says it was successful, but still no luck.
I also tried setting an environment variable to version 9.0 like the readme suggested. That didn't work either, unfortunately.

I just attempted to install F# on a clean build of Vista 64 with Visual Studio 2008 Pro. I'm using the latest F# release available.
The install doesn't seem to have done anything with VS. There are no F# projects available, and the the FSI thing doesn't show up in the add-in manager. Is there some way of getting those things to work?
