Has anybody experienced the following problem and/or give me some pointers as to the likely cause.

I am experiencing problems getting the fsharp mode (0.3) working with EMACS on my Mac Book Pro.

I have unzipped fsharp mode into my home directory in a directory called "fsharp" and I have created my ~/.emacs file with the following lines:

(autoload 'fsharp-mode "fsharp" "Major mode for editing F# code." t)
(autoload 'run-fsharp "inf-fsharp" "Run an inferior F# process." t)

fsi and fsc are in my path and can be run successfully from the shell.

If I load an .fs file into emacs then it loads fsharp mode successfully however when I try to start the inferior fsharp mode using

M-x run-fsharp

I get the following error and F# Interactive will not load.
