Courses and events are fundamental to FPish - they represent a form of content that is authored and cataloged on the site.

A course is a template for a set of events, and can represent in-class or online courses that are given periodically. Each time a course is offered is an event, and events thus have a location and a date/time pair along with a duration.

In FPish you can create:

  1. a course - that will be listed in the Courses catalog. When you view the information page of a course, you can check if there are any upcoming events for it, or you can book it for onsite consultation (if you represent a company) if it has been created with that option.
  2. an event for a course - use this option to schedule a new instance of the course at a given location and date/time.
  3. a one-time event: either a webcast or an in-class training - use this option if you don't plan to repeat the event.

In case of an event for a course or a one-time event, the given event will be listed in the Events catalog. Events can be associated with a given user group or meetup group, or a conference. This needs that the administrator of the group or conference has confirmed you as a speaker.
