Description
Jeff will kick off the second day by introducing us to Clojure, a dynamic programming language for the JVM. A dialect of Lisp, Clojure shares the code-as-data philosophy from Lisp. It is predominantly a functional programming language with a rich set of immutable, persistent data structures.
Jeff is one of the lead developers of Overtone, an open source audio environment to enable sampling, instrument building, live coding and collaborative jamming, which is built on Clojure.
After a brief introduction to Clojure, Jeff will sow how the powerful combination of Clojure and Overtone create a platform for developers to experiment with music.
