Hi,

According to Don Syme, this is a current design limitation. I hope it will change soon.

Hi Laurent,

After posting I actually found the answer to my question on your excellent blog. I've been assembling an F# wishlist myself for a little while - your list gives a lot of clarity to many of the items. I'm particularly interested in any work you've done with fsi.fs as I'm looking to understand dynamic execution.

regards,

Danny

Hi Danny,

Sorry for the late reply.

I've played a bit with fsi, but I've just modified the source code (I didn't start anything from scratch).

I believe you can get dynamic execution in your own software. You need to link with the following F# libraries: FSharp.Compiler.dll FSharp.Compiler.Server.Shared.dll

FSharp.Compiler.Interactive.Settings.dll

I don't know how much code you need to write (or to copy from fsi source code).
