Hi, I'm trying write a simple application which is composed of a few files. I'd like some of these files to be mutually referential, but am running into problems.

For example, say I have:

File1.fs:

#light

let x = 5
let z = File2.y + 8

File2.fs:

#light

let y = File1.x + 4

and order them in my solution so that File1.fs comes before File2.fs. When I compile I get "error FS0039: The namespace or module 'File2' is not defined."

I understand what's going on, and I've done some searching and came across posts like:

[link:cs.hubfs.net]

The last post in the first thread seems to suggest that F# will have some means of mutually referencing entities between compilation units, but I haven't found anything like that.

I've tried playing with signature files, but that doesn't seem to help here.

Is it possible to do what I'm trying to do? Thanks for the help!
