I noticed something odd in this regard recently:When printing a value with %A, if you override ToString _on an object type_, the formatting function honors this and takes the ToString value. However, for discriminated union types and record types, overriding ToString does not have any effect (well, unless you print with %O)I am now assuming this inconsistency will be resolved once structured formatting is removed? That would also nicely answer my question above (though I'll kinda miss the formatting library. Will that reincarnate in some form?).cheers,Kurt
