The build system for the CTP is broken in various ways that seems to manifest most commonly in solutions of 3 or more projects with interesting project-to-project references. I think that the workaround for #4 described here
will probably work for your case as well (briefly, replace 'project references' with 'assembly references'). But in short, it sounds like a known product bug that will be fixed in our next release, and not something wrong with your particular project/solution.
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
I may just leave the superfluous project reference in the top-level project for now, since it will be a smaller hack to back out later.

I have an odd problem where I can not build in Release. However, Debug builds work fine, and a batch build with Select All works. Batch builds with only Release selected fails.
Basically, the main project is not picking up an Assembly that is referenced by a dependent assembly. (i.e. A.fsproj -> B.fsproj -> C.fsproj). If I reference the indirectly dependent assembly, it works fine.
The error that I get in the output window seems to be a random line. If I comment out that line, FS0074 happens at (0,0).
I can work around this by referencing the assembly. But, this makes me think something else is wrong.
