I have this sporadically. Usually closing all editor windows, restarting Visual Studio and then _building first_ before opening anything resolves it. Sometimes restarting visual studio is not even necessary, just closing, building and reopening.I've never had to reinstall/repair F# though.

I'm not sure if it's a "known issue", but it's happened to several people. I think the last time, reinstalling F#, or running "repair" in the VS setup then reinstalling F# work.

If you run into a consistent problem, you might consider emailing fsbugs with details of how the machine is setup and which exact components are installed, etc.

I uninstalled and reinstalled F# multiple times but did not do "repair" in VS setup in between. I'll try that, thanks.

Do you have a drive named C:\ ?

If not, this is a known bug. A workaround is to create a valid C: drive on your system, even a flash disk should be sufficient.
