I'm developing a high performance library in C# but want to give our users an F# front end for the library. My problem is the following: in the C# library I have a Vector class encapsulating an array of doubles. Now in the F# front end of the library (separate dll) I'd like to write

Because this is high performance code, I'd like the compiler to not do array bounds checking in the for loop every time. In C#, the array of doubles is an internal variable so for other C# classes in the library, I can make this happen by writing a loop such as "for(int i = 0; i < data.Count-1; i++)": the .NET compiler sees that I'm assigning each element in the array and gets rid of bounds checking. Because the F# and C# projects live in separate dll's, is there a way to achieve this nonetheless. In other words, is there a way that F# can see internal variables in C# projects?
