Recently a colleague of mine ran into a problem using the SmtpClient from the .Net Framwork.

It seems it's not as trivial as one should think to make a nonblocking send, that cleans up afterwards.

So I thought to myself, that this sounded like a easy job in F# and here is what I came up with:

This works fine, just like I wanted. But how dows it look? Is this the right way to do this?

I'm completely new to F# and have noone to give me ffedback on my code, so was wondering if this was the place to make such posts, or is there another board community that would fit better?
