So basically I wanted to try programming with agents. I imagined a scenario where I have several agents of a certain type communicating with each other through messages while keeping their own state isolated from each other.

This led me to create a type (let's call it MyAgent) with some members (subset shown here):

So. What I want to do is basically just create a couple of these like this:

let agents = [| for i in 0..(n-1) -> newMyAgent(args...) |]

and basically just start them all up as parallel asynchronous computations and let them achieve their common goal.

But I can't figure out how to do it. The idea is simply that I want to start all these agents and post a message to all of them so that they know about each other. Then, I want to post a message to one of them and that agent will in turn post messages to other agents and so on until the computation is finished.

Is this a possible scenario or am I missusing the concept of agents?
