Thanks OC -- that was a more constructive post than mine, of "Spammers must die!" :)
As pennance, let me know if you guys need another human filter in the loop...

There's no anti-spam API you can hook into or hack together? -- these particular ones seem readily filterable, and I'm sure valid posters can manage w/o using VERAPAMIL, NATEGLINIDE, etc., in their posts - or even the word "BUY" in the subject...

Honestly my thoughts were far less charitable than even that. :-) There are few things I hate with the passion with which I hate people who see the internet as a free billboard.

I just figured that the webmaster is a volunteer and like most volunteers can probably use a hand with keeping things running smoothly--hence I thought rather than cursing the spammer idiots I'd offer to assist.

Maybe send an e-mail to Options Scalper (see his reply to me above in this thread) and see if he can use another assistant? He mentioned the software he's using to run the site--I'm not sure if that software can have some sort of anti-spam filter added.

I'll take you up on that.

Contact me via email @ os < at > jjbresearch.org.

I just got this last round cleaned up and have a few tasks to complete on the WebSharper forum.

Looks like you've completely stopped the spam bots. Good job!
