We ran out of time to finish this when shipping F# in VS2010, and it's probably the #1 IDE feature on our priority list for the next release.
That sounds like a good plan.
I just wonder....
Is there a fixed time-scale for new releases?
and is there any chance of adding 'Display inner exception' when encountering an error?

I come from a unix/research languages background and I have been getting to grips with F# running in Visual studio 2008 (as well as getting to grips with visual studio itself!).
One of the things I really like is the ability to add XML comments which show up in intellisense. But there is one part of this I can't get working. In visual C++ ( and probably C#, etc too) intellisense highlights which parameter of a function you are entering with details regarding it's name and type. Is this something that is made possible by the XML commenting AND would it work somehow in F#?
I know I can get the signature to display when type the opening brace after a function name, but this disappears as soon as i start to type and only displays types.
