HI!

this is my first post and of course I am a F# newbie.

I have some issues about understanding the correct F# flow. Why in this example:

let UnionSample1() =

    let show bike = 
        match bike with 
        | Unicycle (Wheel r) -> printfn "Unicycle, one wheel, radius = %f" r
        | Bicycle (Wheel r1,Wheel r2) -> printfn "Bicycle, two wheels, front = %f, back = %f" r1 r2 
    show pennyFarthing;
    show racer;
    show kidsBike

the match is bypassed the first time the UnionSample1 is called?

Following the code with breakpoints, I can see that after entering in the UnionSample1 for the first time, the next line executed is the show pennyFarthing. Why the first match is skipped?

ps. why the match do not throw an exception if it do not have anything to compare?
