It failed dismally for me, but did successfully roll itself back. Not in any rush to try again and will do a full Ghost backup before I do.

I can only speak of my experience, but I installed the SP1 and all known updates on 3 machines and had no issues so far. On the contrary - the SP1 fixed a issue with ASP.NET razor editor and a previously installed Async CTP (that got removed but blocked the installation for some reason).
If you are not sure test it on a VM or something (having big problems with the Async-CTP I have to say that this might be *the* best recommandation I can give - but it might be impractical)

I haven't found any problems in my VM installation, but since it seems that SP1 installation is a one-way street (deinstallation not possible), I don't dare to let it loose on my main machine.
The question is whether KB2455033 is botched too, or if it's safe to install it.

Jon Harrop's blog post about VS2010 SP1, has made me think twice about updates. Any bad experiences experiences with the VS2010 security update KB2455033? Is it safe to install?
I assume that a security patch isn't that big a thing, but I'd rather ask here anyway before installing.
