Hi Doug,

The light syntax is "experimental" in that it is a newer feature of the language, but its been around for a while now so its very safe to use. It maybe see a few changes in future release but these will be none breaking changes that relax the formatting rules.

Both Don and I are big fans of the light syntax - thats why its in both our books. It's especially helpful for beginners, as it forces you to format your code correctly. People who don't tend to like it are people form an ocaml background who are used to there way of doing things.

Both syntaxs will be available in the final release so at the end of the day its your choice - but I'd recommend the light syntax.
